Welcome to the Emerald Coast, home of the worlds best beaches. I don’t say that lightly, the fact is that the sugary white sands and emerald green waters that are found here are unique in the world. These amazing beaches are the cornerstone of a thriving tourism industry and provide tourists and locals alike with incredible opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. The area is a water sports mecca and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.Along the coast you will find The towns of Destin and Fort Walton Beach as well as neighborhoods that front the Gulf of Mexico such as Crystal Beach and Okaloosa Island.
Fort Walton has a picturesque downtown area with lots of shopping and some fine restaurants. Try a couple of my favorites Clemenza’s at Uptown Station and Pandora’s steakhouse on Okaloosa Island. You will be amazed!
Fort Walton Beach is also home to both Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field. The unique combination of a strong tourist market and thriving military establishment makes our area the perfect place to live.
Destin also known as the world’s luckiest fishing village is home to the largest charter fishing fleet in the country. Needless to say, the fishing is amazing. Destin also has some fabulous shopping opportunities and amazing restaurants. Here are a few of my favorites – Dewey Destin’s Seafood on the harbor or overlooking Crab Island and Sakura a hidden gem offering some of the best values in town.
If you are up for some incredible family fun I highly recommend Fudpuckers Beachside Bar and Grill. FUDS has two locations – one on Okaloosa Island and the other on Emerald Coast Parkway in Destin. Fudpuckers is completely unique in all the world. Imagine a place where you can write on the walls, feed live alligators and even hold one while getting your picture taken by one of our professional gator handlers. Each location also offers the best family fun centers on the gulf past – Fat Daddy’s Arcade. Of course, we are world-famous for great food as well as fun. Try the mouthwatering Fudburger or some of our house specialties like Stuffed Shrimp and the Seafud Platter. You will not find better food or bigger portions anywhere. More importantly, or professional staff is there to ensure you have a great time and are completely satisfied with your visit. These things contribute to make us the #1 Food & Fun destination on the Emerald Coast.
